Heavy Horse Experience Day - Driving

Glass Jewellery

This one-day jewellery workshop gives you the opportunity to explore the various techniques and materials used to produce stunning glass jewellery. Resident glass artist, Mona Marnell, will
take you through the designing, making and finishing process. The day will also include an understanding of working with kiln-fired glass. You will use the materials provided to create glimmering silver and glass drop earrings. Once fired your pieces will be ready for collection
from the studio to keep or give away.

Six-Session Watercolour Course

Easter Egg Bunny Hunt

Chelmsford Ladies Circle are pleased to announce the return of our ever popular Charity Bunny Hunt around the beautiful gardens of Hylands House.  Find all the bunnies to claim your chocolate prize!  Our event is suitable for all ages, and proceeds go to Farleigh Hospice and other local community projects.

Essex Boot camp

Essex Boot camp have vigorous exercise sessions at various parks in Chelmsford. These run continuously throughout the year, at Beaulieu Park (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), Hylands Park (Saturday) and Admirals Park (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday).

About Scrapbook Safari

 

The Scrapbook Safari sessions are run throughout the year either at the weekend or during the school holidays. The Safaris are an opportunity for children to enjoy a guided exploration at Hylands along with others of a similar age. The Safaris are aimed at primary school aged children and so we ask that for safety reasons children are accompanied.

The 3foot People Festival 2015

The 3foot People Festival will return to Hylands Park on 30 June, 1 & 2 July 2015 to celebrate its 10th Anniversary.

 

This award winning event (Best Event 2014 Essex Mums, Best Festival 2014 Essex Tourism and Hospitality Awards) curated especially for pre-school children, welcomes nearly 13,000 big (and little) people across 3 days within the beautiful grounds of Hylands Estate.

The Fling Festival 2015

The Fling Festival returns to Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Saturday 4th July.

 

 

The Festival is like no-other, curated purely for adults. A bespoke day of live music, burlesque and cabaret, enlightening talks and wordsmiths, surreal theatre and immersive arts and crafts, the scrummiest food and more await those who visit the intimate tented venues, in the gorgeous landscaped Hylands Estate.

 

Advanced tickets for 2015's Fling Festival will go on sale on February 3rd, with a limited number of VIP tickets also available.

Spring Walk

The walk and talk is suitable for adults and older children, 10 years plus.

Christmas Tree Recycling at Hylands Park

For those of you that favour an evergreen fir, pine or spruce this Christmas rather than the plastic variety, Chelmsford City Council's Parks Services will once again be collecting your used ‘real’ Christmas trees on Sunday 11 January 2015 from 8.30am to 1.30pm at Hylands Park, Writtle Road (A414 Greenbury Way).

 

Why not come and enjoy hot drink and some refreshments at Mauro's at the Castle Kiosk open from 9am to 3.30pm, where toilets and a changing place facility are also available?

Heavy Horse Experience for under 16's
