The Fling Festival returns to Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Saturday 2 July, 2016.

The Festival is like no-other, curated purely for adults. A bespoke day of live music, burlesque and cabaret, surreal theatre and immersive arts and crafts, plus the scrummiest food and more await those who visit the intimate tented venues, in the gorgeous landscaped Hylands Estate.

This event is based on the Back Lawn of Hylands House. However in the event of bad weather this event will move into the Grand Pavilion. Toilets will be available in the House and the Grand Pavilion.

Join us at Hylands House this April for the Keene Quilters exhibition of beautiful quilts showcased throughout the ground floor of Hylands House.
In addition there will be a variety of patchwork suppliers selling material and supplies available to purchase as well as refreshments.
On the first floor there will be the opportunity to create your very own patchwork square, using some of the best sewing machines provided by one of the suppliers, which will then be incorporated into the Keene Quilters Charity Quilt.

Essex Boot camp have vigorous exercise sessions at various parks in Chelmsford. These run continuously throughout the year, at Beaulieu Park (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), Hylands Park (Saturday) and Admirals Park (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday).

Hylands opens it doors free of charge to reveal the secrets of its history, exclusively for National Heritage weekend!
Enjoy free guided tours of the House at 11am and 2pm led by our knowledgeable guides or walk around at your leisure. Then visit our exhibition to find out about the Gooch family's time at Hylands and their involvement in the local community.

Come and experience the magic and tranquillity of a woodland setting with one of our rare breed horses. The day will include a logging demonstration in the woods then having a go at it yourselves.
